Email Address and Profile: Only if you choose to register to save your progress, sync routines, and participate in the community. We use this data solely for authentication and account management.
Training and Analysis Data: Tactics scores, Woodpecker history, opening repertoires, and user-created lessons.
Technical Browsing Data: Standard server log information (anonymized IP address, browser type, and visited pages) collected in aggregate to ensure service stability.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide you with a personalized chess training experience, maintain your daily streaks, and improve educational tools. We do not sell or trade your personal data with third parties.

3. Security and Storage

We use Supabase for secure data management and authentication, utilizing encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest with industry-standard security protocols. The Stockfish analysis engine runs locally in your browser via WebAssembly, so your private analysis moves are not transmitted to external servers unless you explicitly choose to share them.

4. Advertising, Cookies, and Third Parties (Google AdSense)

Chess Gym may display advertising provided by Google AdSense and its partners in designated informational areas of the website to support free training infrastructure.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet (DoubleClick cookie).

5. Kids Mode and Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

At Chess Gym, we take the safety of minors very seriously. The platform includes a dedicated "Kids Mode". When this mode is active, all advertising scripts are suppressed, and no identifiers are collected for advertising or personalized tracking purposes.

6. Account Deletion and Privacy Rights

Users can request access to, rectification, or deletion of their account and all associated data at any time. To do so, send an email to info@thechessgym.app with the subject "Account Deletion". We will process your request within 7 business days.
